Update on socks

Well I am finally getting around to posting the photos of my socks knitted up to the little toe. I've been rather busy as our little dog has been seriously sick. He's been to the Emergency Vet Clinic overnight and then to our vet's for the day. They both had him on IV's. Said he was dehydrated. With what he has, he does not know where he is or who we are right now, much less being able to find his food and water. And when we lead him to it, sometime he still does not know what to do with it and other times, he eats and drinks like he's starving. Our vet (which I have gone to since I was a teen and I'm now 56 yrs. old.) says he has Cognitive Dysfuntion which is the same as Alzeheimer in humans. Also his heart is not pumping enough blood to the brain. So we went home with three meds. So we watch and wait.

Getting back to the sock. I've not had a whole lot of time to work on anything. Just got thru knitting the purse that will be given as a gift, when I'm thru with it. I'll post photos of it in a minute, unfelted. I'm loving the socks. They are much easier that I thought. I've got a good size stash of sock yarn, thanks to my friend / sis Chappy. So I'm anxious to start another pair already and I have not even gotten the second sock to this pair started. I'm liking the colorway better since I've gotten this much done. They will look cute with jeans. I can't believe I finally got up the nerve to start them. There again a lot of the credit goes to Chappy and those on my sock groups. Posted by Picasa

I'm so sorry to read about your poor puppy. I read in an earlier post that you weren't too keen on the color of these socks. I just had to tell you that I love them!!! I guess you do too now. Way to go...I think when I'm done with the sweater that I'm knitting I'm moving on to a pair of socks.

My 21 year old cat gets dehydrated...we give her sub-cutanious IV's several times a week for over 3 years now...she is still plugging along...ask your vet if you can also do this for your dog at home. It's just ringer's lactate, but it works
